Staff:
Jacques Barrette, Director:
Jacques Barette is the Director of the Centre for Academic Leadership and a full-time professor who teaches human resources management and the development of management skills at the School of Management. He is also the Vice-Dean and Associate Dean (Programs) at the Telfer School of Management.
Jacques Barette has both a master’s degree and a doctorate in industrial and organizational psychology. His research focuses on the relationship between human resources management practices and organizational performance. His research also includes the impact of individual and organizational learning on motivation, commitment, and the overall health of the organization.
Prior to his academic career, he worked in human resources management for the public and private sectors for 14 years.
Establishing and directing the Centre of Academic Leadership gives Jacques the opportunity to put his academic and professional experience into application, while also contributing to the development of the University.

Françoise Moreau-Johnson, Coordinator
Since 2007 Françoise Moreau-Johnson has acted as coordinator at the Centre for Academic Leadership. In addition to a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology, she has more than 15 years business experience in both the public and private sectors.
She has been recognised for her excellent work at the Centre for Academic Leadership. She received the Award of Excellence for Staff in May 2011. Through her openness, she is an excellent ambassador for the University. Her innovative work, including group mentoring, has been cited as a model for other universities. She has gained the trust of professors and academic leaders, who seek her guidance, bringing people from various disciplines together and building an impressive network of contacts.
Aside from coordinating various workshops, Françoise organises the mentoring program and facilitates the succession planning program by meeting with candidates, assessing their development needs and offering them different learning opportunities.
